Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. We have so much for which to be thankful! While we are thankful everyday, Thanksgiving Day is a big reminder of our many blessings. I told Hannah that I was thankful for her and her baby brother/sister and her daddy and then asked her what she was thankful for. She said "I'm thankful for my babydolls and dollhouse". (I guess her daddy and I didn't make the top of her list) She has been a terrible sleeper lately, so I am thankful for the little sleep I do get. I'm telling myself that she is getting us ready for when Baby E2 arrives. Perhaps we will be thankful for the transition. It is hard to believe that is less than 2 months away!

We spent Thanksgiving Day with The Englert Family and Thanksgiving Evening with the Dufour Family. Mrs. Marilyn started a list with the Englert family trying to guess the sex, height and weight of Baby E2. All but 2 or 3 of them guessed the baby to be a boy. Since the last 7 born into that family have been girls, I think they are hoping for a change. It's been over 22 years since a boy has been born in the Englert family. I guess we'll find out soon enough. For Hannah I was certain she was a girl. I don't know why, but I just knew. With E2, I don't have a strong feeling. I think it may be a girl just because we don't have any girl names. We know for a boy, he will be Carter Joseph. For a girl.... Any suggestions are welcomed. We want biblical (but not Bathsheba), traditional, and one that goes well with Hannah Susanne.

Hannah's First LSU Football Game

Hannah attended her 1st LSU football game yesterday against Ole Miss. While LSU was beaten pretty badly, we still had a good time with her. We began the day around 9 am with a small campfire and roasting marshmellows. It was a bit chilly in the morning but warmed up nicely in the afternoon. We made it into the game and watched pre-game, which is worth the ticket in itself. Fireworks went off as the Tigers ran onto the field and Hannah was excited. Jason wanted to take some pictures of Hannah holding a sign about Ole Miss (see the slideshow below). Also, Katie and Claire (former Ole Miss Rebelettes) came by to say hi. We took pictures of Hannah, Jason & Katie together.

After kickoff, and only 27 seconds into the game, Hannah told her Daddy she wanted to go home. (It was way past naptime and a sleep was badly needed for our early morning riser). She then began asking to see Nana, who sits one section over. Finally, 5 minutes into the game, Jason brought her to Nana. In the 30 seconds it took him to get back to our seat, she was fast asleep on Nana's shoulder. She remained there until half time. I think Nana enjoyed that more than the game. If you saw the game, you'd understand. It was bad. Our poor tigers look like they have never played the game.

Anyway, in the third quarter Hannah came to life (too bad the tigers didn't). She enjoyed cheering and singing "Hey Baby" as the band played. She definitely was more entertaining than the team. With about 5 minutes left in the game, we decided to leave. It was cold and we were losing by 15 points. Hannah had a good time and we learned that she is no where near ready to attend games routinely. Until she is, we'll keep tailgating and supporting our tigers. As I said earlier, pregame is almost worth it in itself.

Hannah's Haircut

Hannah had a haircut appointment last week. It's her first in about a year and was badly needed. We went to Belles and Beaus and she did well. The last cut I had to hold her. She sat in the Barbie Jeep and watched TV while the stylist cut away. It's not too short, but it is much shorter. Some of the before pictures are of the day she decided to change her clothes during nap time. Her sense of style is a little lacking, but at least she's trying!

Hannah and Dr. Breitbart

Dr. Breitbart came in to town the weekend of the LSU vs Alabama game. He was here for a meeting in New Orleans and attended the game with Dr. Hixon. We were so excited to get to see him. It has been a year since we left Boston and the last time he saw her in person, she was still struggling a little bit. He was so excited to see how well she is doing and we were so excited to show him how well she is doing. We have a couple of great pictures to share of their reunion. Words can't express how much we love and respect Dr. Breitbart. It was great to see him on our turf and not because we HAD to go to Boston. We love the city, but for now we only plan to return for a vacation...not anytime soon though!

Less Than Three Months Until Baby E2 Arrives

We have less than 3 months until the new additon to our family. Hannah is very excited about the arrival of "her" baby after Christmas. She informed us last week that the baby would sleep in her room and when "he" cried she would put "his" nu-nu in his mouth. She would also help to get "him" a bottle. She is pretty certain that it is a boy, so much though that I am less convinced it is a girl. I guess we will all have to wait until January to find out. It will probably be a girl simply because we do not have a girl name picked out!

We've decided to follow what a few of our friends have done and make a webpage for our family. Hannah's carepage is really meant for medical updates; however, we want to share all of her life with you as well as the baby-to-come. Thanks Capertons, Babins, Skupiens & Roans for your blogspots. It is a great way to see all of you and keep updated. We hope to accomplish the same here.

Tomorrow I have an OB appt and the glucose testing. Hannah also has a cardiolgoy appt. It will be a busy day but a great one I am sure. It is always so awesome to hear the heartbeat and know that a little miracle is growing inside.
