Hannah Gets her ears pierced...

One random day Hannah decided she wanted her ears pierced. No matter how scary I tried to make it sound, and trust me I did, she insisted. So, to the mall we went. She was such a brave, big girl. She didn't cry, but I did! I was so proud of her!

Carter's 1st Birthday

Wow! The past year has flown! I can't believe how fast the days go by. There is so much to do: scrapbook (haven't done since last May), write Christmas Thank You notes (I've never been this late), write Birthday Thank you Notes, plan the LPCF's 4th Tennis Tournament, work and oh yeah, build a house!!

It's been an adventurous year with our little man. Carter is doing great! He weighs right at 21 pounds which puts him in the 25th percentile and is 31 inches which puts him in the 75th percentile. So he will be tall and skinny! You wouldn't guess that by the amount of food he eats! He's been drinking out of a sippy cup and eating table food since he was 9 months old. He is such an easy kid, we are very lucky.

Developmentally, Carter is all boy. He is into everything he is not suppose to be into. He has never really crawled, but scoots instead. Now he taking steps and getting more and more brave everyday. Yesterday he walked from the living room and into the kitchen trying to catch Jason. Now that he is doing more walking, I will definitely have my hands full. Verbally, Carter doesn't say much. He says dada dada dada all day long with an occasional Moooom. He kind of says No (more like nahnahnah) and shakes his head to reinforce its meaning.

His favorite things to do is bang on the tv with blocks, climb the steps and open drawers and cabinets. Who needs toys when there is so much more fun getting into those "no no" places.

Happy 1st birthday little man! We are certain life will be filled with lots adventure with you!

December

December was another busy month, as I'm sure it was for everyone. Hannah was admitted to OLOL and then to the PICU with Viral Pneumonia. She was there for 5 days and in true Hannah fashion, she gave us a scare. However, also in true Hannah fashion, she fought it and won. We were once again reminded of how fragile she can be and once again reminded of the power of prayer!

Below are pictures from events in December. Visit with the Babins, Hannah's school skit (The Grinch Who Stole Christmas), a trip to the living Nativity at OLOL, and multiple Christmas Parties.

We hope you enjoy.

Thanksgiving Turkeys

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with both families. We are so thankful for each other, our children, and our extended family. We truly are blessed.

Sandy & David had some exciting news. Baby Garver will arrive in July! Hopefully this time next year they will be building on their lot in the same neighborhood!

Also this month, our newest Godchild, Nate, celebrated his 1st birthday! Happy 1st Birthday Nate!

Here are some pictures of our little turkeys!

November

It has been a very long time since my last post. I apologize!

We've had an incredibly busy two months. In August we bought a lot. We sold our house in November and are now homeless! We have been working on houseplans and are actually closing today on our construction loan. Hopefully soon we will be seeing some things happening on our lot! It's exciting and very scary at the same time.

The kids have adjusted well to our home change. In fact, they are getting spoiled rotten by all of the attention from Papa, Mimi & Nana!

Here are some November pictures. Thanks for checking in!

October Days with Carter

Drinking from a sippy cup

Pulled himself up for the first time...now the rail must go up and the mattress go down!

Jogging is exhausting!

What a handsome little boy!
