LSU vs ULL

Our first tailgate with the kids of the 2009 LSU Football Season. It was hot, but still a great day, especially when we heard USC lost! Woo Hoo!

Here is a short slideshow of the kids!

Busy August

It's been a busy month. We bought a lot in Oak Alley Estates (as did Sandy and David...yeah). We've been decluttering the house and have had it for sale for almost 3 weeks. In the three weeks time, we've had 9 showings. That's not bad! It does keep us busy trying to keep the house organized. We've also been looking at house plans, which is proving to be harder than I thought. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

Carter is now 7 months old. He weighs 17 pounds 10 ounces. It is so hard to look at him and not think he is huge. He is actually average in weight and height. He just looks huge compared to Hannah who didn't weigh 17 pounds until her first birthday. He is sitting by himself, but still needs a soft landing behind him. He does well sitting, but when he decides to go backwards, there is no stopping himself. He still has his funny little nerdy laugh that is brought out by his sister! He LOVES her and she LOVES him too! It is the sweetest thing to see them interact. He is also beginning to use the babble Da. It is sweet to hear the little whisper...da, da, dad, da, dad, da....

Hannah has begun pre-k. She likes her new teachers and has adjusted well to the new class and teachers, which surprises us! She can still be a bit clingy, but for the most part is becoming quite social.

Last weekend we went to San Antonio to visit Aunt Sandy (Carter's Nanan) and Uncle Bubba (David). We had a nice visit. We went to the San Antonio Zoo and to the San Antonio Children's Museum. It was great to spend time with them. We can't wait until they are back home one day!

Thanks for checking in on us!
Waiting for a showing. If she can't sell a house, no one can!

Rural Life Museum

We went to the Rural Life Museum to take Hannah's 4 Year pictures and Carter's 6 month pictures. It really has some great props. We'll do it again when Carter is able to sit a bit more steadily and when it is cooler outside. We tried a couple times, but he kept tipping over.

Carter Joseph is now 6 months old and he is doing great! He weighs 16lbs 6 ounces and is about 25 1/2 inches tall. As a reference hannah was 25 3/4 inches tall but was only 13 pounds at 6 months! In fact, at 1 year, Hannah only weighed 17 pounds!
Carter is eating stage 2 foods twice a day and loves it! He is a great sleeper too. You gotta love having a thumb sucker. There is no nu-nu to find in the middle of the night! Carter is still in love with his sister. She make him laugh those big belly laughs that are contagious. Hopefully they will always love each other! He is enjoying tummy time more and can get around scooting on it, which is mostly noted in his position changes while sleeping. He loves the exersaucer and jumper too. He is beginning to sit on his own, but is very wobbly. He looks like a drunk man. It's funny.

Hannah is 4 years 3 months old and is still hanging onto 29.5 pounds....with clothes on! She is about 36 inches tall. Her light weight isn't due to a lack of eating though. She loves to eat! She will be starting pre-k 4 in a couple of weeks. I can't believe she is this old! Where did the time go? She is enjoying her school more these days and I often times have to wait for her to finish an activity when I pick her up. This is a great improvement!

Here is a slideshow of our photshoot. We hope you enjoy viewing it as much as we enjoy living it!

Carter's Funny Sleep Habits

Carter has been found in several funny positions while sleeping. Here are some of our favorite snapshots. As long as he continues to sleep through the night, I don't care how he sleeps!

Notice his foot out of one pant leg and inside the other?

Where's Carter? Okay, so no more blanket to cover him during the night...

Snuggling with his lamb and his bear named Carter. Okay, so now it is time to remove the animals from his crib.

Under the sheet protector...he should be on top!

Sucking his thumb...like mother like son! I wonder if Uncle Terry's trick about worms will work with him?

Turned around and still under the sheet protector!
